Impressive P4
Talladega proved to be yet another sign of good things to come for Furniture Row Racing and driver Joe Nemechek.

The team’s impressive qualifying run landed them a 4th place starting position for the race.

General Manager Joe Garone provides some color commentary on the action packed race last weekend, as well as the latest testing update.

“Qualifying went well for the team as we posted our best starting position of the year. Not only did the car perform well, but the engine and engine support that Hedrick supplied was second to none. During the two pit stops, we had to perform work to convert the car from qualifying to race mode. After modifications, the car was a rocket moving forward without even using the draft. Unfortunately, we were not able to capitalize on the good running car due to a rear end cooling problem. It took 39 laps to fix the problem, and we went on to survive the wrecks and finished 32nd.

The team is testing in Milwaukee for Martinsville this week and then on to Charlotte. We will be attempting to qualify for our seventh race in a row.”
