Smith Qualifies 20th in Bristol
Regan 2010
BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 19, 2010) -- Regan Smith will start 20th in the first short track Sprint Cup race of the 2010 season in Sunday's Food City 500.

In Friday's time trials at Bristol Motor Speedway, Smith's No. 78 Furniture Row Chevrolet covered the .533 mile high-banked oval in 15.627 seconds at 122.787 miles per hour.

"We're starting in the middle of the pack and need to move forward quickly at this short track," stated Smith. "The Furniture Row Racing team likes these short tracks, and we're looking forward to another solid run on Sunday."

The pole winner was Joey Logano (124.630 mph). Rounding out the top-five in order were: Kurt Busch, Dave Blaney, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.

Sunday's Food City 500 will be televised on FOX beginning with a prerace show at 10 a.m. MT.
