Smith to Conduct Autograph Session in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2010) -- NASCAR Sprint Cup driver and Cato, N.Y. native Regan Smith will conduct an autograph session in Syracuse on Thursday, Aug. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at the Oak Express & Bedroom Expressions store -- 2815 Erie Blvd. East (tel: 315-446-8461). The store is owned by Smith's primary sponsor Furniture Row.
Smith, who began his racing career at age 4 in the Cato area (25 miles west of Syracuse), will compete in Sunday's Sprint Cup road race at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International. He drives the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet.
Now a resident of the Charlotte, N.C. area, the 26-year-old Smith says he still has central New York roots.
"I have family and friends in the Cato area and it's always nice to come back to where I started my career," stated Smith, the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year. "Hopefully the autograph session will kick off a good weekend for our Furniture Row Racing team."
Fans attending the autograph session will receive an 8 x 10 colored poster card of Smith.
